Do you remember?

    My child, what's the matter?

Is there a reason you can't look me in my face?

am I such a disgrace that you can't say these things to my face?

your mysteries is an excuse, my love in which I give you rebuke

The hate in your eyes is inevitable but the love in mines in unforgettable

my child, whats the matter?

Do you remember what I told you, that evening when I was allowed to hold you?

do you remember when I guided you though the storms and the rain

how I sheilded you from the arrows of shame. I comforted you,

plucked out your thorns and soothed the pain, pushed you aside from the bullet

from point blank range. My child what's the matter?

There was a time when you would look at me with love, I mean god sent you to me from above

his guiding words as I raised you as my own, helped me and you to grow strong

to carry on.

There was a time where you told me everything, where your secret was my secrets

and my secrets....well  you kept secret.

Do you remember, there was a time when you asked me " Whats th matter momma?"

I laugh because I remember it all to well.
