Do You Remember?

It came every year,

There were always us three.

I looked forward to it all the time,

Like Christmas in the middle of summer.

I usually was the last to arrive

And I grew jealous of the two able to arrive before me.

But we made new memories together,

Forgot any trials with one another,

How could you stay mad at such a young age?

So we played.

We went to the beach,

We got sand in our hair,

Our pants.

We made crafts

And walked in circles.

We pet the dogs,

Held the small ones.

We did what we always looked forward to.

Now,

To have it again,

We must look back.
