Do you see?

The pain in her eyes is too much to bear Wishing they could see the pain hidden there The pain, the shame, that holds her down Breaking her heart at every turn The door slamming in her face, every day Wishing there would be a way To get them to see what she's hiding, What I am hiding Because you see, This girl I speak of Is me.
