Do You See Me?
Do you see me?
Yes, Oh, you do?
So you do see me?
Yes, you see me.
You see me because
You want to see me
Because we see
What we want to see.
But sometimes we have to see
What we don't want to see
To see what we need to see.
Because what we need to see
Will show us the
Changes that need to be changed
And the mistakes
That do not need to be made.
Now, do you see me?
Do you see
The difference between
Wrong and right?
The difference between
The willingness to have peace
And the willingness to fight?
Do you see the poverty
All around us
And the falling of the economy?
Do you see the sin
Running through this world,
Running out and running in?
Do you see the
Little bit of truth left
Behind all the lies?
Because I don't see it.
That is what I don't see
With these eyes.
What I do not see
Is hope for this world,
If hope could ever be.
But what I do see
Is my hope for Jesus Christ
Coming back for me
Saying,"Come home, my child,
For I have a palace for thee."
All that is left to see
Is Jesus coming back
At the end of this eternity.
But the question is this:
When will we see?
Something wrong with this poem?
