Do You See Me As I See Me

Do you see me as I see me?

All broken and cracked

Walking around with this pain in my back

Praying to God that I can put down this sack.

Do you see me as I see me?

Carrying around pain

Pain that I cannot just wash down the drain

Although rain seems to relate to the pain

I feel as though I'm going Insane.

Do you see me as I see me?

Carrying around guilt

Guilt that was only built

By me covering my wrongs with a quilt

Pretending as if it was gilt.

Do you see me as I see me?

Carrying around sin

That cuts me so deeply like a piece of tin

Now my skin is dark and thin

Only to realize I will never win.

Do you see me as I see me?

Still carrying my sack that I have not put down

Because what goes around comes back round

Do you see me as I see me?

No, you do not see me

As the monster I am to be

You see me as I let you see

So you cannot see the sack that forces me

To get on one knee

And beg to let me be.
