Do Your Best

When I was a kid, the biggest problem I had was following through on the decisions I made. Whenever I started a new year of school, I would always promise myself that I would do my absolute best. But I would start the school year off strong, and towards the middle of the year, my drive to do my best would slowly fade. Every year I repeated the same cycle over and over again. Promising myself, I would do better next time just to mess up again.

I would always go halfway but never fully dedicate myself to what I was doing in school. Making fake promises like I'll do it later, or there's nothing to worry about. After a while, this laziness started to show up in my daily life. I was no longer motivated to do much of anything anymore, even at home. But then my Uncle gave me the most important advice I have ever received. He told me that in whatever I do, always do my best no matter how small or large the task is. This made me think on a broader scale for the rest of my life.

Not only did his words of wisdom help me with my laziness, but I even started getting better grades in school. My life overall improved because I took the time to dedicate myself to everything I did. Even though im still not perfect I still try my best on everything. I will forever carry his words of wisdom with me. Even into my later years of life I will always try my best.
