Doctor

I sat on the floor just gasping for air

It seemed there was none to be found

The pain was intense but I didn't care

I stayed in a ball on the ground

Next thing I knew it was hospital gowns

and tubes in the hole in my chest

The doctors came in with lopsided frowns

They said that they would do their best

They did and I lived, but I won't forget

How the doctors changed my life

I will be one to, so I don't regret

The learning that came from strife
