Does the Color Matter

Although I see myself as free.

I cannot spread my wings and flee.

I can only sit and watch while the streets fill with hate and envy.

what has come of we?

Does our skin color show how we should feel upon one another?

Instead of joing together we bash eachother.

Is this what the world has come to?

Are we just waiting for a cue?

Or will we finally look passed the skin color.

And fall in love with the insides of one another.

One black and one white together.

Forever.
