A Doe's Experience
Docile doe
Bounds and sails like a bird through the air
Blinks brown eyes at gentle green trees
Steps lightly on mossy forest floors
Hides; tender hides hidden by dead leaves
Stands out in snow pale as a worn blanket
Snaps like a whip, the twig
Steps sinisterly soft steps
Muffles the sound, the thick snow
Loads the gun, quickly
Clicks the gun, too loud
Looks up
Tries, tries
Misses both times
