Does he know?

Does he know? I keep asking myself, hoping to drown the aching thoughts with doubt. Maybe i know, but i just can't get the words out. I keep telling myself that he wouldn't hurt me like that, not like this. Why can't he understand that ignorance isn't always bliss. He should tell me what he feels like so I can finally stop guessing. But maybe that's the point of love, always feeling things but never expressing. There's that fear that creeps up on you if you love a broken soul. When they hold your fragile heart it's so easy to lose control. At night we should've watched the falling stars While he drew gentle hearts around my scars

AHH!! I literally love this! I read a lot of newer poetry, and most of the poetry I read doesn't rhyme. Obviously it doesn't HAVE to, but I love a good rhyming poem and this one is SO good.
