Does it make a sound?
He struck the bell
and it tolled
great sound rolling
across the land
With all Her heart
Freedom sang
and rang
with great power that still hangs
An eternal echo by His hand
by the People’s Will
by ink and quill
no more chains for ANY man
In empty forest
a tree so tall
mighty oak falling
with none around
With all His strength
He crumbles
and tumbles
with such power the Earth rumbles
But with no ears to listen, does He make a sound?
Or does he lay
day after day
Silently withering upon the ground?
Does the promise WE made
by Our Will
by ink and quill
Still remain in our today?
Or has it only faded away?
