This Doesn't End Like We Want

I don't feel like reading or watching

other love stories unfold.

I only want to think of you

but it reminds me that our love story

will never be written.

We live in our own

tales with characters

meant for us

but secretly we want to jump books

and live happily ever after

somewhere new.

Even if I told you how I felt

and you felt the same

nothing would change

and that's the saddest

love story ending ever told.
