Doesn't Matter What They Say
They call me religious, they say I'm extreme,
Because I chose to praise the One who chose my life to redeem,
They tell me God isn't real,
that sinning really isn't a big deal,
But I know its a lie because in my life God chose to reveal,
The truth that I've been longing for a while,
Instead of living a lie which really isn't worthwhile,
And so I ask them do you think life is just a game?
That its all about the money and the fame,
No, its about representing Jesus' name,
Because to live for something worthless would be a shame,
Money is just an object, luxury is temporary,
But the Holy fire I feel inside is permanent and extraordinary,
So I give God my life as sacrifice,
Because to die for our sins Jesus didn't think twice,
I tell them that although God is hard to follow,
One things for sure, he wont leave you hollow,
And when they ask me if what you say is true then why are you so stress free?
And I tell them its because i have Psalm 1:23 ,
Forever engraved into my memory.
