Dog

I start out very small I cannot smell or see But overtime these senses I will gain gradually After I learn to walk It may be hard, but fun To keep up with my mischief And me when I'm on the run I could grow to be many colors Such as white, black, or brown I could grow to be tall and slim Or maybe short and round I may be hard to handle But I can guarantee If you can depend on no one else You can depend on me I'll always be by your side Full of loyalty and love Afterall, my name spelled backwards Is the same as the Lord above If you haven't guessed by now You've only yourself to blame For I am obviously man's best friend Dog is my name
