the dog and the lamp

once there was a dog

who found a magic lamp.

the dumpster had no food

but a rusty lamp to chew on.

the dog chewed and slobbered

and chewed some more.

then a genie appeared out of the

dripping and dented lamp.

the huge magic genie said,

“congratulations for finding my lamp!”.

because the genie did not know

that dogs cannot understand english,

he continued to speak.

“for you will be granted three wishes,

anything your heart or mind desires.

i will make your wildest dreams come true!”

the genie bellowed in a proud tempo.

the dog just sat and panted,

almost at the smile, at the genie.

the genie just watched

waiting for a response.

“well?” asked the genie.

the dog continued to sit.

unsure of what to do,

the genie just sat with the dog.

the dog licked the genie’s face

and rested his head on the his lap.

the genie smiled and pet the dog.

no wishes were ever granted

but neither the genie or the dog,

could have been any happier.

the end.
