Doggie
I cherish you
To the ends of our universe.
You represent my innocence and my youth.
You were with me every step,
You were my best friend;
You were there
Throughout the chaos.
When I couldn’t understand,
When I felt the world was against me,
You were there.
As I admit that sometimes life hurts,
I pet your soft fur,
Or at least what’s left of it.
I took you everywhere,
My little stuffed doggie,
You were there.
You were there with me,
And I don’t know what I’d do without you.
