Doing the Most

These days it is basically normal to have an associates degree. Back then people barley had a diploma but was still successful. I do not get why society is doing the most when it comes to being successul. I wonder because of technology the standards went higher. Although it is not a problem for me, I hear the 50% of the country's voices saying that they cannot land a comfortable job with a diploma. I feel for them and say to either make it easier to recieve an associates, or go to back with standards and let capable people work and be successful for their families.
