Dolors from a Desi

If you appreciate my culture,

As much as you claim,

You should know

Your disgusting

Urban Outfitter’s shirt

Desecrates

My God’s name.

A sacred image

Against

Your filthy skin

A jewel

Between

Your ignorant eyes

A traditional henna pattern

Up and down

Your pale ass thighs

Appropriating my symbols

My religion

My culture

For your

New age yoga shit

For your

Mismatched Coachella outfit

For your

“I just like it!”

If you appreciate my culture,

You should know

It will never be yours

To claim.
