Dolphins

You told me you could see the future

I believed you

I told you to go on the wrong bus

You believed me

But we were friends anyways

You sold me glass dolphins

And showed me the true world

Gruesome and disgusting

I gave you a bed

And showed you a magical land

In our backyards

Summer is our season

In between cold space

Keeps us separate

And we were dancing together

In the picture

In the book

I was an inspector

You were an immigrant

Nothing was ever more true

The future sort of came true

Coincidence?

Close enough strawberry
