Don't Blink

Mem'ries forsaken and memories thought precious things that time well bought define a life: a thing divine a note of a chord; a string taut Blink and dare to miss it all shall your name be on the wall on a tower of hist'ry that stands too tall or fade in it's shadow, life and all Ink carves mem'ries in its strokes a signal fire seen through smokes a blazing pyre which within it holds your own flame which such soul provokes Heed the brilliance of those before through black ink carved on parchment bore bring alive those thoughts that tore and raced and bore themselves within your mind because admit, it's so much more When you share your mind with others kind It's why I write the things that bind my lips and mouth but through ink I strive in case I blink these words won't die.
