Don't bridle a colt
Don’t bridle a colt
Sing and dance, and do not fight,
Let it put on, don’t switch off light,
Let each corner of earth be bright
Think of duty, before ye think of right,
Let young colt graze in meadows,
Till sun rests, there are no shadows,
The feeble grass makes it strong,
To bridle the colt, of course is wrong
Let it be free, to make gallop, gallop,
Don’t saddle it till it is grown up
Let the spirit not bow, keep it up, keep it up,
Let it loose, don’t make it tight,
Don’t loose heart, if it is falling night
Dawn do ever follow each dark night,
Please wait a little, let it be bright.
Ye will see that wonderful sight,
Drizzling will make each twig has a bath,
The Sun will take those strayed to their path,
The fawn will play with the wind,
Jumping jumping hither and thither,
Flower will smile till last, when it whither
That will kinder a hope in ye,
Beyond your wishes it may be,
Soothing your eyes and your soul,
You will be happy to have the goal,
