Don't Cry

The center of our world

Little baby girl

Gentle smile, gentle face

Little dress of lace

Don't cry little darling

Don't cry little one

It will be better come morning

With the rising sun

Prettiest green eyes

So little, so wise

Little freckled nose

Tiniest little toes

Don't cry little darling

Don't cry little one

It will be better come morning

With the rising sun

Loved so very much

Only the gentlest touch

Never hurt or abused

Never found bruised

Don't cry little darling

Don't cry little one

It will be better come morning

With the rising sun

Safe now from harm

A sling for your arm

Better now you're safe

A soft quiet place

Don't cry little darling

Don't cry little one

Things will be better come morning

With the rising sun
