Don't Forget To Dust

All this time I spent finding myself.
Searching in closets and boxes,
trying to find my personality,
find what I stand for.

And while I spent time searching,
everyone's lives moved on leaving me behind
in the dust that collected upon my friendships
that I had forgotten to brush off and expand upon,
all because of events beyond my control.

My "Friends" moved on,
forgetting my existence.
For while they had known themselves all along,
I became busy developing like film,
processing by myself in a dark room.

After I thought I had found my forever friends,
I found most good things in life are temporary.
Now, after I have finished developing,
I'm once again left in a dark room.

All this time I spent finding myself,
but now who do I have to share my findings with?
