Don't Go Knocking on the Door

I am 13 doing something with my life

You could go ahead and throws your's away

But you can't expect me to do the same

I have something to live for,

something to hope for

And no it's not your knock at the door

I have a dream I'm perusing

Something you can't do for me

Don't expect to be cheering me on the sidelines,

acting like you've been there my whole entire life

Seeing your face is nothing but disgrace

You show up whenever you want to

You come and see me for you

You feel better when you see me for 5 minutes

How do you think I feel when you leave once again?

I don't know where you go,

I don't know the next time you gonna show

I know nothing i say is enough

But I do know,

that next time you come knocking on the door

I am going to continue staring at the floor

Wondering if you'll ever get the hint

Gosh dang it! I can't resist!

I have to answer

I have to open up

i can't just leave you knocking at the door

after all you are my mother

It hurts,

it hurts seeing you

Never knowing if your gonna come back

Never knowing if there's something wrong

Never knowing if it's going to be the last time

Do me a favor and stop knocking on the door
