Don't Go to Moon Lake
Fergsion's Town is a small settlement
Filled with jolly, bright people
Open armed and openminded.
Though they cared not what you did, a warning
Always attached their "Top of the morning"
"Do not go to Moon Lake."
Curiosity, being an active
Trickster, seizes their minds,
Convincing the residents that
Moon Lake could be a sham.
They called the TV crew and
The crew decided to set out
At night, the worst time to
Visit Moon Lake.
Afterwards, the entire town found out what happened
From the guy who drives the news van.
The man informed them that Moon Lake
Is not as dangerous as people have heard it be
And suggested they all see for themselves.
The townspeople were suspicious, but
The people left to go to Moon Lake in the evening.
The driver was a member of the TV crew,
He looked trustworthy.
The survivor waited for a few hours.
He did not go with the townspeople,
He wanted to see what sort of sorcery
Laid for their fate
He got his answer when a flurry of fur
Raced past his window
Their mouths bloodied red, the air rushed
The accomplice looked to the moon over
Moon Lake
It shaded the water white, a foggy reminder
Of monsters that lurked and visited Moon Lake
The accomplice grinned
Nighttime truly is the best time
For bamboozling
