Don't Keep Her Waiting

She was waiting for someone to change her life.

Only the virtue of patience influenced her will.

Taking a glance at the forested sky, she encountered an epiphany.

Realizing how inconsistent life was with fantasy and folklore,

She remained still.  A multitude of questions came upon her,

What is she? Is she tantalizing like a baby’s repugnant scream?

Is she monstrous like the womb of destruction deep beneath a blanket of fire?

Or is she just plain boring? What felt like eras and centuries of conflict burst inside her.

Serendipity is stress’s mortal enemy, and the savior arrived.
