Don't Leave Us Alone

Location

Little Elm
United States

Dear Mother,

Why do you allow yourself such dolor?

Say its for our sake but there must be more,

Since every day I see your face drain in color.

Be careful since life’s a limited war.

What can we do to ease your life’s burden?

We will be smarter, we will work harder,

We’ll do all we can to help live in this suburban.

Just please, don’t make your life any shorter!

Can’t you see we don’t want to be forlorn?

Our lives don’t get an identical twin.

This is the penalty of the lowborn,

To work until death to feed our kin.

Take time to take care of yourself, not others…

We kids want to grow up with our mother.

Sincerely,

Your Daughter
