Don't Let the Glass Break

I'm a soul in a polished glass body,

Everytime people hurt me, that glass is chipped,

It's chipped and chipped until a crack forms,

Once there is a crack, the whole system is flawed,

All it takes now is one more infinately small chip until that glass crumbles to the ground into thousands of deadly pieces,

When they break down the glass, I'm the one who is cut with the shards,

All the people who have chipped away at me appolagize and say it won't happen again,

But words can't fix what has already been done,

Words were the cause of each piece of chipped glass, not the remedy,

Time is the only remedy.
