Don't Let Go

My mind melts,

so a pair of hands

holds my thoughts together.

Warm, kind, gentle.

Don’t let go.

Because I want you.

I can’t breathe,

so I’m wrapped in arms

that act as my inhaler.

Warm, kind, gentle.

Don’t let go.

Because I need you.

When I’m on the edge,

so close, just a little more,

a voice whispers.

So warm, so kind, so gentle.

“Don’t let go.

Because I love you.”
