Don't Let Them In

Don't let them in,

Don't let them in,

They will only break everything you are;

Don't let them in,

Dont let them in,

Cuz you would only pick up your pieces; (2x)

So build up your bricks sky high,

And wall yourself in, nothing gets in or out;

Cuz of this: things get quiet, voice is silent

Light disappearing, darkness digging deeper,

Cant sleep-cant eat-cant even smile

So sad, so bad,

Until u hear them

Every day you hear them pounding

On your wall of protection

U hear them screaming for u to let them in

To let them see

Just how broken you can be

But u dont listen, cuz u learned your lesson:

U think back to when u let em in

To when u let em see

And let them help

And when u seem to be in one piece

They broke you....these filthy people

Crippled you...so when u hear people asking again

You lock them out, and turn off the lights

You close the curtains, you barracade the doors

Because if you ever let anyone in

They will break and break and leave u alone

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

Them filthy people will only make it worse

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

You have to protect what u have left

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

They will only break everything you are;

Don't let them in,

Dont let them in,

Cuz you would only pick up your pieces; (2x)

Even the guy in the corner

with dark clothes, and tattoos

and cuts on his arms and his headphones on;

Even the girl in the center

of a crowd with bright clothes

but eyes full of emptiness;

Even the nerd watching his anime

with a broken smile each time

he makes up one of his jokes;

Even the middle-aged teacher

getting a sadder look in between each class;

Even the stubborn friend

that always asks if you're ok;

even the person u see in the mirror...

your shameful self....

cuz thats what u see...

but dont let them know...

dont let them see..

please..

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

People have tried and this won't be anything new

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

Nobody can help you cuz they aint you

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

Them filthy people will only make it worse

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

You have to protect what u have left

Dont let them in

Dont let them in

They will only break everything you are;

Don't let them in,

Dont let them in,

Cuz you would only pick up your pieces; (2x)

Until that one day

When someone broke down your wall

Until that one day

When you see him/her seeping through the walls

joining you...in the darkness

of silence..

Then your heart starts to automatcially

Put itself back together

a new feeling has surfaced

and you get closer...

You both get closer

till its comfortable

and happiness starts to form

Hand in hand you climb

out of these walls, out of this hole

you break it down, you break it down

to see your friends

to see your family

with arms wide open

you figured you should...
