Don't Lose Hope

Hope can never leave my side, I have dreams and goals eyed, This feeling is strengthened with my every stride, And continues my innate pride, I just keep my head up and my heart open wide. At times I have cried, But at least I know I’ve tried, By looking at the upside. As a kid, on the swings and slide, Life and I were allied. With age the feeling became dried, Like a race I haven’t even started, and already got disqualified. We are a community that coincide, Put societal expectations aside, Girls-stop curling your hair, that is already fried, Boys-your muscles don’t make you beautified, Your inner self should be intensified, The imagination is already supplied, Whatever you want, it’s your turn to decide. Hope has to be amplified, We have to be each other’s guide, I want to spread this worldwide, Before generations to come, say the hope died...
