Don't Make it Personal
kkk llllllllllll
You’ve chosen a field to inspire and teach,
A responsibility to stimulate the minds you will reach.
Why impose your personal views?
Your individual beliefs are yours to choose,
Not for preaching, advocating or promoting to the youth
Who attend school to learn, not listen to your version of truth.
Keep your political, religious and moral ideals out of the room.
We’re really not interested and you shouldn’t assume
That we want anything but the chance to let our own opinions bloom.
Give us the facts,
Inspire us to learn.
Teach us to grow,
Arouse our individual opinions to churn.
Don’t make it personal,
That’s not your job.
Your beliefs are yours alone,
Just give us the tools to form our own!
