Don't Matter

Inside a fire glows and grows

I watch my mind shatter

A pain no one knows

A feeling I don't matter

I pull for the feeling of love

I try and then fail

My heart trembles and I stagger

And yet to no avail

Still the feeling I don't matter

Now as blood paints my hands

My heart beats with a resounding pitter, patter

No one understands my pain

Therefore I dont matter

With one last shot I'll go

A score that causes no chatter

This won't be a free throw

Because I just don't matter
