Don't Mind Me

Thu, 01/14/2016 - 21:20 -- mxwong

To long have I live under the confines of guidelines.

Home, school, nothing but rules.

Let me live with my own mindset,

Soul to not become a mindless mathematical robot.

Let my creativity blossom and shine.

Don't just smother it and bury the ashes.

You don't need to mind me,

But you should mind my mind.

I am human, not a robot.

Basic necessities are a given,

But surviving on my own can only be accomplished

Through bursts of imagination

To test myself and what I can do.

All I need, is my mind.

But don't mind me,

I am simply living.
