Don't move
I sat there in a calm, collected manner,
resisting to let anyone see my fear.
As it took one step closer,
with its, as many as eight legs,
I felt a shiver run through my spine,
my heart-beat sped faster,
my throat became as dry as a desert.
Seeing its vicious hairy self,
I wanted to crawl away,
far, far away.
Buy my feet,
they were glued to the cold, hard ground.
Maybe it was because, they held too much pride,
in proving they were not 'scardy-cat'.
I winced as it took its itsy, bitsy steps,
my eyes glued to the way it moved.
As it moved closer and closer,
the world around me began to spin
ring-a-around-the roses...
we all fall down.
