Don't Only Live Once
Everyday comes a new puzzle
A new mystery
Thank God, I don't have to be
Just as smart or as scholarly
As the person next to me
To solve the riddles
and the quanderies
that Life presents to me.
Everyday I go through faults
And I have slip-ups
They say you only live once
But if you fall
You can always get back up
Just because you have one life
Doesn't mean you can't mess up
Just because you're hurting now
Doesn't mean you should give up
Everything is awesome
because you always have a chance
to fix the wrongs to right
And that's how life blossoms
I live for my mother
When her legs are hurting from a long day's work
When I go over to help her
And maybe massage her foot
I live for my dad
Who may need help seeing
a small date
printed on the back of a book
See...
You may only live once
But I try to live twice, maybe three times a day
Don't only live once
When you can live everyday
