Don't Settle

To this day broken hearts yearn to be fixed. Trying to find a solution, resolution or even a substitution for what they have lost. Broken hearts yearn to be loved but often settle for lust. Something so unfulfilling, unsatisfying, unloving while underestimating the effects it will do to you afterwards. How will you feel the next morning when the heat of the moments vanished and the cold hard truth freezes you? Creating a log so hallow and empty you could fit a whole forest of animals inside. Don't turn into a puppet that says they feel nothing because I've been attached to the same strings. I have had the same puppeteer of denial move my lips. To this day both girls and women spread their legs to find themselves whole. To this day, thinking maybe he'll stay if I show him something he cant live without. Well that is no solution or resolution that is only an allusion. People can live without lust, but what we cannot live without is love. To this day as both girls and women we need to take a stand and give loving ourselves a try.
