Don't Text Me

Don’t text me anymore. I tire of the monotone beeps Your paragraphs of nonsense make me want to weep Your ever profound “lol :)” Is better spent on those with duller taste I read your text and speak in your voice Your true meaning is left without a choice I miss it, I miss it ever so much I miss you, with disregard for touch Separated by miles of blue You spoke in hues As your laugh formed your smile I heard the weight of your finger on the dial A pause, a breath, a sigh Communicated without eye Please, don’t text me anymore I miss the sound of your voice.
