Don't Walk Away

I could hear the rain last against the window, the lightning brightning up a very dark room, I could feel my spine shiver everything time the thunder clapped, But it all went away the second you grabbed me with both arms and pulled me closer to you body. The fear went away immediately as I felt your breath against the back of my neck. I asked you "why do you try to calm my fears?" You calmly reply "Because I love you."

We don't have a happy go lucky relationship, we are filled with many ups and downs. Sometimes our fights are easily fixed, somtimes it takes day. But you never walk away, you never yell or scream, your response is always calm. I asked you "Why didn't you leave?" You reply "Because I love you."
