Don't Worry
Do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?
Why do treat me with such delicacy?
Is it because you truly like me,
Or because you think I'm some stupid, pathetic, hopeless, innocent, naive untalented girl?
Because I want to say you think both of me,
You don't bother to call me out whenever you think I'm on point with my cues,
But get jealous when other men come gather truths.
Why do you care about me if you show no sign of interest?
I see the way you look at me when men approach me to appreciate me,
You protected me as if I was your newborn being attacked by hounds and wolves in a forest.
Don't worry I'm not deaf,
I'm fully capable of saying these words to you,
I'd just rather have my lips sealed,
And keep minding my own business.
Don't worry, one day I will shine,
And just in case you haven't noticed,
It's me. Caroline.
Don't worry,
I won't cry for you,Thank God,
Our names aren't engraved in each others hearts.
Don't worry,
There's no need for me to tell,
Without or without you,
I know I'll do well.
You're envious of all the attention men give me,
Because you wish you be only one to play me,
But decline the offers due to you having to say my name.
