Don’t blink

Before I realized I was grown,

Little did I know the woman I was to become.

I never thought I could fly from home,

Never once did I do it alone.

Keeping my head up and proud was a struggle,

And now I do it with a smile.

No fear and no trouble,

Doubt at the back of my mind.

You may not see much difference,

Only the closest to my soul.

Unwavering with a sense, of

Love and support throughout my change.

Lately it’s been hard to accept

My growing into a woman.

I do get scared, except

So many people encourage me.

Since I’ve been growing so fast,

I often hear people saying the same thing.

They always say “Blink and you’ll miss it”
