don’t give up and never give in

Don’t give up and never give in

Keep fighting the fight and someday you’ll win

So don’t give up and never give in

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again

This world will not greet you

It’ll knock you down and try to defeat you

but you need to fight, you can’t let it beat you

Keep breathing deeply and I promise you’ll get through.

There’s a spark in your heart

and a flame burning brighter

You won’t fall apart

Just hold my hand tighter

For the day will soon come

When the war will be won

When all fighting is done

And we can all see the sun

So don’t give up now and never give in

The final fight is about to begin

Don’t give up and never give in

Just hold your breath, take my hand, and dive in.

I'm a Grad student now studying Biochemistry and Biophysics (not sure how I got there). I guess I've been using this site for nearly 8 years now though sometimes I went years without writing much of anything. I write what I feel and I write what I need to let go of. Sometimes I write about a dream or a nightmare I had, If I can tell the difference. I fell in love for poetry in high school and continued to write in college. I hope to publish a book someday as well (leave a comment if a poem speaks to you). P.S. My Instagram is @CottonCandyPoems
