The Door

Carried in through the door The beginning of time First stare then coo then crawl Down the line. Then walk Then talk Then back through the door Always returning, returning once more. The sun and the clouds, The moon and the rain The days and the nights The joy and the pain The pictures indecipherable In a preschoolers scrawl The wallpaper ripped from the bathroom wall. The lines and the shapes  Take forms once unknown Day to day living On an iPhone  Last chapter finished In a book still unread Walk out of that door A life still to explore
