Dork
I'm a dork because I want an education
Because I know that kids are the future of this nation
Because I live and breath with my imagination
Because I thrived on my own deprivation
The word college is whispered in my ear
And now that I'm a senior it's even louder for me to hear
But sometimes I just want to disappear
Because heaven forbid I listen to what I hold dear
And I know it's my journey but did I even have a choice?
Sometimes I want to scream above all of the noise
But it's like no one can hear my voice
When I am free from this all, I'll rejoice
Today, I'll take it one step at a time
Being a dork , after all, isn't a crime
And I'll keep going, it's my climb
It's my turn to shine
