double jeopardy

Double jeopardy

Should I be scared?

It seems to me like no one truly cares

This situation is one I never imagined myself in

Who knew that something so beautiful could be a deadly sin?

The temptation is constantly in front of you

Why place it there if it’s not what you want me to do?

I know they always say he throws nothing at you that you cannot bear

But I would love to have some of this burden shared

Nothing comes easy in life

I was hoping my life wouldn’t be so full of strife

It’s a constant reminder of the pain I have felt

I just wish that all of these horrific thoughts would just melt

Lost in the fear of how others will see me

Wanting to be alone so others will let me be

Never been so frightened

It’s too late now to turn around, lets take this opportunity to be enlightened.
