Double Stanzas

A women, thats all we are.

Less, smaller, and looked past upon,

Almost like poetry would you say?

A man has the RIGHT to do what he chooses.

To whore around yet no one speaks ill of him

But women get the red "A" on our shoulders if we

did the same thing men did.

How long must it take? How much more should we wait?

Will this disgusting mindset die or will my fight.

Will I have to reer children with the same  double standards?

Will my daughter feel less of a person compared to a man?

Will her rights be diminished upon the shadow of a man?

But like poetry, we are small and mightly.

Our fire refuses to die. Refuses to let double standards strip

the air from our lungs.

I refuse. I refuse these standards to define me, define any female.

Equality seems to slip through our fingers like silky sand.

But we refuse to stop fighting.

Call us names, it doesnt matter.

While double standards still floats through our society,

the power and fight of women burns brighter with each stanza.
