Down

One more step, and I’ll fall

Down

Down

Down

I’m just on the end of the precipice.

About to go over.

I can’t look away, I can’t look back.

There is only one way to go.

One more step, and I’m falling

Down

Down

Down

I took that step.

And now I’m falling.

Never stopping, always falling.

One more step, and I have fallen.

Down

Down

Down

The world flashes past.

One giant blur that ever ends.

I see the end.

The ground is near.

And I sit up in bed,

My heart beating with fear.
