Dr. Lorena Marquez

EWS 2900 with Lorena.

Entering class with a broken heart.

In class with doubt and fear.

"Why the HELL am I here?"

Thinking over and over the same.

I DON'T BELONG HERE.

Not just in this class but in this university.

In EWS 2900 in my fouth year.

DOUBTING TO STILL BELONG.

I graduate next year.

That I will ALWAYS say without a doubt.

Dr. Marquez "You DO belong here, you worked hard to be here".

"Reflect on what you have done or said".

"Self-care and self-love are different don't let one pass for the other".

"Imposter syndrome will trick you".

LORENA MARQUEZ.

The first hispanic woman that I have ever had at CAL POLY.

Relateable.

If she did it, I can too.

If she's telling me to do it

then I HAVE TO DO IT.

I DO BELONG HERE.

I HAVE WORKED HARD TO BE HERE.

EWS Multicultual Leadership with Marquez.

Topic throughout the course:

Self love.
