The Dragon and The Prince
Once Upon a Time,
A Dragon and a Prince once lived.
Both were members of royalty and used to hang out very often.
Their mothers were good friends, but their fathers were vicious rivals.
Their fathers decided it was enough and forbade the two friends to hang out.
The two kings declared war on each other.
Men and dragons fought; chaos and misery were unleashed.
Casualties piled higher than mountains; Blood flowed freely like a river.
The two princes were forced to lead their kingdoms.
When both sides met, the princes led the front.
Claws met swords and teeth met helmets.
The Prince saw his friend for the first time in months,
Taking part in the battle,
Killing his men.
Having no choice, the Prince took his sword and ran toward his friend.
The Dragon was unaware that the Prince was in the battle as well and jabbed his claws into his friend.
The Prince took the hit and was able to stab the Dragon through his chest.
The Dragon roared his final breath and the Prince smiled sadly as blood spurted out from the wound caused by his friend.
Both princes fell in battle and both armies were in disarry.
Due to having no other heirs, the human kingdom and the dragon kingdom fell into ruins.
The old died in peace, but the young died painfully.
Although dead, the Prince and the Dragon met again in Heaven, where they hung out like they used to.
And the lesson of this poem? Why its obvious is it not?
Follow your own path, not your parents. You decide your future, not your parents.
Otherwise one day, you may end up with an ending like the Prince and the Dragon.
