Of Dragons & Flirting

Once upon a time

she was a leader of cities

a warrior of armies

and a friend to her people

Once upon a time

he was a prince

a writer of love songs

and a heartbreaker to swooning girls

She wanted it

the swiftest she had ever seen

a dragon to become a companion

the rarest ever known

He wanted her

the fairest he had ever seen

a royal bride to become a king

the people's diamond in the rough

She got what she wanted

freedom

happiness

a princess and her dragon

He left empty handed

forlorn

humiliated

a flirt and his ego

Once upon a time

a dream came true
